Seems more oddball than "rock solid." I would think western fans would be turned off by the music-dance number, Ford's stammering method acting, the half-baked psychological explanations. Of course that's what makes it interesting or memorable to non-western fans. I mainly enjoyed John Dehner as the hyena-like sidekick. Dehner had a smaller role in western "Man Of The West" which I saw around the same time, where he looked great as a confident killer. A nice contrast, partly because it was in color.
