NIGHT HUNTER---trailer released for the movie about the hunt for a serial killer starring Henry Cavill, Ben Kingsley and Alexandra Daddario.

LINK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J58AVtWQk-E

QUENTIN TARANTINO---Tarantino commented on his STAR TREK movie and plan to retire after his tenth movie, “I guess I do have a loophole, [if] the idea was to throw a loophole into it. Which would be [to go], ‘Uhhh, I guess STAR TREK doesn’t count. I can do STAR TREK … but naturally I would end on an original.’ But the idea of doing 10 isn’t to come up with a loophole. I actually think, if I was going to do STAR TREK, I should commit to it. It’s my last movie. There should be nothing left handed about it. I don’t know if I’m going to do that, but that might happen.
There also is another thought process going on where it’s like, yes, [my last movie] could be original. On the other hand, maybe that could show a different career I could’ve had. Whereas maybe [ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD] is my last original – I’m not saying this is the case – but maybe this is my last original, and STAR TREK or any other thing, a book or something like this, is the career I could have had if I wasn’t just writing everything all the time. Writing always originals.
Maybe I could have had a different career if I looked for other people’s scripts, or if I wanted to find a book to be inspired by, and do an adaptation of. That would’ve been a different career. And maybe that could be fun to explore on the 10th [movie]. I don’t know. I mean, I’m making all this up as I go along, but those are two different ways I could look at it.”

THE WITCHER---Netflix released a photo of Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia and his horse, Roach.

GAME OF THRONES---George RR Martin said fan criticism of the final season will not affect his two remaining books (THE WINDS OF WINTER, A DREAM OF SPRING), “The internet affects all this to a degree it was never affected before. Like Jon Snow’s parentage. There were early hints about [who Snow’s parents were] in the books, but only one reader in 100 put it together. And before the internet that was fine — for 99 readers out of 100 when Jon Snow’s parentage gets revealed it would be, ‘Oh, that’s a great twist!’ But in the age of the internet, even if only one person in 100 figures it out then that one person posts it online and the other 99 people read it and go, ‘Oh, that makes sense.’ Suddenly the twist you’re building towards is out there.”
He added, “And there is a temptation to then change it [in the upcoming books] — ‘Oh my god, it’s screwed up, I have to come up with something different.’ But that’s wrong. Because you’ve been planning for a certain ending and if you suddenly change direction just because somebody figured it out, or because they don’t like it, then it screws up the whole structure. So no, I don’t read the fan sites. I want to write the book I’ve always intended to write all along. And when it comes out they can like it or they can not like it.”

CRAWL---director Alexandre Ajay said the movie's unfilmed original ending had Haley, Dave and Sugar being hoisted up in a rescue helicopter's basket when an alligator leaps up and eats them, “We had a draft. This is pure spoiler but we had a draft with the final alligator grabbing them in the basket, going up. We didn’t shoot it but on the script stage, we explored a few different directions.”

SUPERGIRL---Melissa Benoist posted a photo of Supergirl's new costume and hairstyle for Season 5.

DOCTOR WHO---a Season 12 episode has the Cybermen returning and being the inspiration for Mary Shelley's FRANKENSTEIN.

SPIDER-MAN---Sam Raimi commented on his cancelled fourth movie in the series, “I think about it all the time. It’s hard not to, because each summer another SPIDER-MAN film comes out! So when you have an unborn one, you can’t help but think what might have been. But I try to focus on what will be, and not look into the past.”

OLIVER STONE---Stone's memoir focusing on his younger years, including his military service in Vietnam, will be published in 2020.

JACK REACHER---Amazon tv series underway based on the novel series.

WINOS---Thomas Lennon (RENO 911) is the star/writer of this Quibi workplace comedy series about a run-down winery.

TRIVIA---in SCROOGED (Bill Murray, Karen Allen), the minigun fired by Lee Majors is the same minigun fired by Jesse Ventura and Bill Duke in PREDATOR.

She sort of looks like she wouldn't fight crime, but she would just walk around complaining about things and asking to talk to the manager and stuff like that.

She looks more like someone from the cast of FRIENDS or BIG BANG THEORY going to a fancy dress party as SUPEY GIRL.
Or maybe a Captain Marvel wannabe.
She's not the SUPERGIRL I remember or fancied the pants off.

Night Hunter looks good - my kind of drama. The usual complaint about the trailer being too long/showing too much, but... .

Also looking forward to The Witcher. Cavill is a good fit. Gamer that I am, I have *not* :O played the Witcher games... so this can be fresh territory.

WARLOK:

It's my understanding that Henry Cavill barely lost out to Daniel Craig to star in CASINO ROYALE (Cavill supposedly was too young), but he's never mentioned as being Craig's successor. Craig's rumored successor have included male, female, black white------anybody but Cavill. That's odd.

Interesting. He's a good "operative"... liked him a great deal in the last Mission Impossible. And frankly I really liked him post-Man Of Steel when his character really came into its own, being heroic.

Here's more on Supergirl's new costume:

Benoist, said,“We’ve been talking about pants since Season 1. Every time a writer from the show has come up, and it’s freezing cold in Vancouver, I’m like, ‘Guys, please can I not wear tights?’ I love [Kara’s old costume]. I haven’t changed it because it so works, and I think it is very Kara. I’ve always felt that — until recently, I’m like, ‘Something’s gotta give.’”
She added, “I just think it’s more adult. Part of my goal in this whole series for whenever the show ends, I just want there to be a very clear arc for this character that she evolved as a woman and found her femininity and her adulthood, just a self-discovery.”

Showrunner Jessica Queller said, “A lot of us were passionate about getting Supergirl into pants and out of the short skirt, and we felt like that would be a powerful move, and Melissa is really excited about it. So we just had to find the right moment to design the suit and in between seasons gave us a chance. But this is something we’ve been thinking about for a while.”

So, my vote is if Supergirl loses the skirt and wants to evolve as a women, then she is no longer Supergirl, but Superwoman.
I started watching this show and left it once Kara's sister got a female love interest, sorry but we are being hit with too much
of this nowadays and now I watch very little TV.

Even when the image is a Photoshopped composite they can't get the insignia on the correct side. There's no hope for humanity.

The hair's kinda weird, but I got no problem with the costume.

I just hope the writing is a little more subtle in season 5.

'Make Earth Human Again'. Do you get it?! Wink!

She's gonna regret it when she suddenly feels the need to pee and can't get those tights pulled down in time.
