I don't care about this release. Bait and switch with the From the Earth to the Moon, tricky tricky LLL!

But what I do find interesting is does this mean future collaborations with Varese are going to happen?

This totally makes sense, I don't know why I didn't see this coming.

Because Varese has never licensed their perpetuity titles out to other specialty labels to expand, before. This is a monumental first! And hopefully it means that there are many more expansions that can happen now...

Like Roger and Doug at Intrada could finally make a definitive Love Field happen, the way they laid out in this thread:
http://www.intrada.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7704&sid=e84707fe82cb74e4958b78e784d908f3

Or LLL could expand Medicine Man (if they can work out a Varese deal for Apes...)

Or Bruce Kimmel at Kritzerland might finally be able to do a complete release for The Other!

Who knows what could happen...although the Fox/Disney situation I still wonder about.

But yes, there could be no more fitting release for LLL's 500th, than something with a lot of APES! (Sweet deal to get the complete TV scores too...) big grin

I'm still longing for a complete From the Earth to the Moon release of course, and this did seem like the perfect date to release one, being the 50th anniversary of the moon landing...but I still think LLL might have it in the works, probably just delayed but maybe even originally planned for today. smile

From the Earth to the....Earth (oops, was that a spoiler?)

Looks like another stellar box set from LLL. Great work, gents.

This totally makes sense, I don't know why I didn't see this coming.

Instant buy for me!!!
BUT I have one big question regarding ESCAPE OF score:
Please Lalaland, confirm that this score is better quality than the previous Varèse edition (meaning no FX)

So CONQUEST was "expanded" with some duplicate tracks in stereo, and isn't on the same disc with BATTLE, but are in the same CD case. Kinda wish ESCAPE had been paired with another title since it's so short. Alot cheaper than buying them separately, if anyone hasn't bought them by now.
If LLL does any more collaborations with Varese, as has been asked, maybe they'll do some unreleased Goldsmith titles.
