Did anyone buy any CDs from the collection? Seems like very little was sold with those prices since SAE just sent out another e-mail about it.

I bought a couple titles- Black Widow/Good Morning Miss Dove [Intrada] and the Flim Flam Man/ A Girl Named Sooner [FSM]- both with a coupon last year or the year before that. I was satisfied with the final price on both. I also think they were still offering a media mail option at the time, so shipping wasn't too egregious.

I'm glad I got the FSM version of FFM, because ...Sooner pairs much better with it IMO, than The Detective.

I might have been tempted by a couple other things, but SAE doesn't allow coupons codes to stack, so it's one offer at a time which doesn't allow you to leverage shipping at all.

SAE prices are always inflated.
The only thing I buy there are small label titles that they are willing to slash low, like Movie Score Media.
Otherwise, pretty much all Intrada as much as possible.

But Intrada doesn't have Nick Redman's private cd collection for sale.

Um, I can buy quite a few of those elsewhere

I have really cut back on my purchases at SAE ever since they turned shipping charges into a profit center. I suspect they make more on shipping than they do on selling discs.

A few weeks ago, I ordered nine titles from them. Five of these were 2-CD sets, which really jacks up the shipping charge. They shipped the package using the Priority Mail 1-Day rate for a 3 pound package. Total postage cost to them - $9.05. Total shipping charge to me - $34.40. Apparently, the price for a box and some bubble wrap is just through the roof. And thanks to the post office, the "1-Day" package still took three days to arrive.

**I actually ordered something last fall.** I tried to order THE WRONG BOX (by John Barry) late last week, but the 20% off coupon code wasn't working. I then reached out to SAE about the issue, and they said that they forgot to extend/renew it. The issue was then fixed. So, I was able to get THE WRONG BOX at 20% off. It was selling for $39.95, and I saved $7.99. (With shipping/handling it came to under $39. The lowest price on Amazon for this CD is $79.99. So, I think that I did well regarding price!)

Yeah, I researched the ones I bought a bit, and SAE's prices were good in comparison and even better with the coupon.

The shipping on the one order that contained two CDs and five Blu rays came to only$10 (!?!).

I was happy and satisfied with prices, and very happy with the music itself.

Did they ship it in the right box?

Yep, 10 years ago I purchased a lot from SAE especially when Lukas was producing FSM titles but their prices and shipping fees are to high. I only purchase MSM titles from them now. I almost exclusively purchase my CD's from Movie Music.

I've been pleasantly surprised by quite a few of those Moviescore releases.

Well worth the money- tho the final cost with shipping is quite different than the expectation based on the per unit price. Even at a final cost of $2-3, still well worth.

A few were clunkers, but there are also some that get more play than more prominent releases I was greatly anticipating , which turned out to not be all that after all.

Totally agree, I have some pretty enjoyable Movie Score releases.
These are all pretty good;
Island of Secrets
A Ticket to Space - you can get it for 0.45 cents!
Pirates Passage
