Also, when you watch that video you can hear Mark Mancina's theme song from bad boys first one It's been awesome if Lorne Balfe can use it for bad boys for life. This is the great news!!
I was wrong about Lorne Balfe on Mission Impossible Fallout. I enjoyed his work in Fallout much more than his Terminator score.
I want to be right and I am sure Mr Balfe will put to full use the Mark Mancina opening titles music (night shots of the city with credits) music from the 1995 Bad Boys in the new film.
That opening titles music is awesome and that score in the 1995 film when the dump truck crashes into the hangar.
Mancina probably won't work with Jerry Bruckheimer again, since there was a big fallout during the production of Bad Boys II. So, no surprise that someone else got the job.
More like Lorne Balfe to score bad movies for life.
First person I've come across who thought "Mission: Impossible Fallout" is a "bad movie".
Disappointed Mancina isn't returning, but if anyone was going to give me hope it would be Balfe after that "M:I Fallout" score. I still wonder if anyone sees the themes from the original "Bad Boys" as being significant enough to call back to - I'll say that my enjoyment of "Bad Boys II" (which I don't dislike) took a nosedive once that Columbia logo came out unaccompanied by Mancina's theme.
Can somebody please clarify - is the movie called "Bad Boys for Life", or did Balfe receive some weird punishment where he's forced to score Bad Boys and only Bad Boys for the rest of his life? Please say it's the latter.

You know, I'm reminded of that Far Side comic where the Devil is pitch-forking a guy in the ass to pick one of two doors; one marked "Damned if You Do" and the other "Damned if You Don't".....
What is Mancina doing that he doesn't seem to work anymore? He was great!
He seems to be spending a lot of his time working on stage projects now. He was one of the primary music directors on the stage version of "The Lion King" and composed some updated music for it's 20th anniversary in 2017. More recently, he composed the music for the "Rivers of Light" show at Disney's Animal Kingdom and for a stage musical adaption of "August Rush" that opened in a try out in Chicago a couple months ago.
Seems like the perfect time to release Rabin's BAD BOYS 2 score that was mentioned awhile back, Lalaland.....
I think you mean Rabin/Jablonsky/Duncan/Morris/Gregson-Williams/Pereira/Chu/Clay...
Honestly though, I did love that score just for different reasons than the first. While the first was action packed and theme filled, the 2nd was harsh, untraditonal for the time, Black Hawk Down-ish (in a good way IMO). I'd buy the score in a heartbeat.
I do hope Balfe blends the 2. That'd be pretty awesome.
