Not Rutger! Only 75. Sad.
Working right up to his recent illness.
They said was the first man to look natural in chain mail since Charlton Heston.

I think Soldier of Orange was the first thing i saw him in. Great film

I always love that guy, I think first role I saw was Bladerunner, and what a part, such a great combination of sinister, and finally shown to be a kind and suffering man at the end.

Ahhhhhh Fuck...no.
Another iconic part of my formative cinema years gone.
Blade Runner was probably my first exposure to him as well, but seeing him in The Hitcher, Ladyhawke, Flesh + Blood and catching up with his earlier Verhoeven films, man, he was intense, in a brilliant way.
So original.
This is shit news.
RIP.

I'II always remember Rutger as 'Wulfgar' from 'Nighthawks'

I was only playing Keith Emerson's soundtrack a couple of weeks ago.

Oh yeah, Nighthawks. I think that came out before Blade Runner, so that was probably my first viewing of him.

To his fellow countrymen he will always be Floris van Rosemon first and foremost:

It's what starte his career and that of Paul Verhoeven.

Ah damn! He was awesome. Loved him in Blade Runner, The Hitcher, Ladyhawke, Flesh + Blood. Also saw him in some low budget films on cable.

Last time I saw him was in a surprise cameo on Galavant. I was literately laughing and cheering at the same time when he appeared on screen.

RIP.

He died in 2019. Just like his character in Blade Runner. So strange.
