Hmmm....I've listened, and it comes off as rather 'static' material. I had very high hopes for this, perhaps the score that finally re-ignited Marianelli's quality, but it wasn't that. I stand by what I've said for the last few years -- he hasn't been up to form since JANE EYRE and SALMON FISHING IN YEMEN 9 years ago!
Not sure if this one will be to my liking but I really enjoy Marianelli's scores for Jane Eyre, The Darkest Hour and Everest. Atmospheric, brooding stuff.
While it isn't like them, I do suspect you'll like it. Very pretty music.
I find this score very beautiful. On first listen I thought it didn’t have a lot of depth but I’ve listen to it about six times. Twice today, it grows on you.
