There might be some Barry in his music, particularly in his lush, slow themes - like "Many Mothers" in MAD MAX or a lot of tracks in BRIMSTONE. This is another exapmle.

I agree with this. And I'm not a fanatic of Barry.
Man, to be the new John Barry you've got to have a style all of your own, be overflowing with creativity, and have the balls to push back at all the idiots you have to deal with.
Thread started out fine; then predictably turned to the classic FSM JXL bashing. Fortunately, it just ricochets off of me like water on a duck (or however the saying goes). My response to the naysayers:
