This may have been overshadowed by the other big sci-fi film "finishing old business" news about Williams and his Star Wars cycle wrapping up this year, but I don't think anyone's yet mentioned the OTHER big sci-fi/musical news (did I miss it?), which I've been awaiting since at least 2007, when the idea was first floated here at the board.
Looks like Bruce Kimmel is finally completing "The Creature Wasn't Nice," in a restored version for Blu-ray, and the film will finally be seen as originally intended when it was first produced in 1981. It was never released in its intended form since that time, always in some butchered/bastardized cut, and always under some other title ("Spaceship"? "Naked Space"?)
But now the time has finally come, and a sci-fi musical dream will come true. More info here . . .

This thread's really burning up the message board, so I find myself once again replying to my own post.
Is my Blu-ray of "Dracula's Dog" from Amazon really going to arrive at my house before the restored "Creature" Blu-ray even gets a release date?!

Not Blu - no upside doing a Blu due to the only surviving thing on my original cut being 3/4" video. But we also include the theatrical version. Interestingly, we did an early test to see if we could blow up the original 4x3 letterbox image (this video transfer was done back in 1981!) but it made the already not great image look much worse, so that was a no go. Until three weeks ago - a new technology was unveiled and I think we may have been the first to try it - they did a test, and the blow up looked almost identical to the 4x3 letterbox, so we did it and now we have that cut in 16x9. We're announcing it on Monday and will probably have discs a couple of weeks after that - I'm just going through the check disc now.

You probably know this without being told, BK, but when TCWN becomes an all-singing, all-dancing stage musical, "Science Is My Pie" is definitely going to be one of the songs in it.
I enjoyed all the extras on the new DVD (only once, so far) and it got me wondering, among other things, is "Likely Stories" ever going to be available on DVD?

I wish the producer of Likely Stories would license - he's a little nutty and seems to be out of the business now. He has sequences up on Vimeo but not the complete shows.
Hoping you enjoyed seeing the version of the film as we meant it to be.
