I remember the Furka Pass tyre shredding [in a car chase in GOLDFINGER], as well as the promotional events with these cars – they have become increasingly iconic since GOLDFINGER and THUNDERBALL. In fact, I bought a very fine DB5 myself relatively recently.”
The previous high for a DB5 was $4.6 million for the DB5 used in GOLDFINGER in a 2010 auction.

I hate youtube and I hate myself.
Started watching this trailer and ended up listening to some anime ripoff of Goldsmith's Leviathan.

Thanks, Dragon53!

The War of the Worlds - my cautious optimism is somewhat diminished now, if the image of the machine in the previews is actually the final product. I don't know that I had any well-defined expectation, but the one shown is somewhat underwhelming to me. While it does have a low-profile body shape that might render it less susceptible to gunfire, it looks too much like a three-legged crustacean. Perhaps the fog /smoke is obscuring it somewhat.
I'm thankful that it is due out this year.

Awkward! Wonder what Disney thinks of this? To bad she wasn't cast in a Star Wars movie, would love to hear her support for the New Order.

That Underwater trailer looks good. My only complaint, though it is a mechanism by which to create more terror, is the growing trope of humans' defenselessness. One of these years, a project director of X will be appointed who has actually seen some of these types of movies and therefore plans defense capabilities at least to Y extent... .

I don't know who's scoring UNDERWATER - and it does look derivatively enjoyable - but OH, to hear a score as BAD wink as everyone thinks LEVIATHAN is these days, would be a joy to the ears.

wink

I'm not sure which is more annoying, celebgods using their high-profile status and obvious (to them) moral and intellectual superiority to proclaim their support/condemnation for whatever they support/condemn; or the threatened boycotts of said celebgods and their movies, shows, albums, whatafumo.

When I grew up we had a saying, "Don't discuss sex politics or religion."

For sure, but we all do it anyway. We flyover folks just don't have the megaphone supplied by a ravenous media gobbling up and spewing out every syllable for us. Celebs and the like certainly have the freedom to express their opinions, and folks have the freedom to boycott.
Hey, I'm the biggest hypocrite I know. Guess that's why these folks bug me so - I mean, it takes one to know one.
