If that is the top ten paid...no wonder film industry suffering. big grin

It's not suffering at the box office. 2018 saw the highest grosses in history -- $11.9 billion, up 7.4% from the previous year. (The number of tickets sold, however, peaked way back in 2002.)

Half of that surely "earned" by Disney alone. Disney who allegedly cooked the books by 6 billion.
China reportedly inflates actual ticket sales too.

In 2018, Disney released four of the top 10 domestic box office grossers:

1. Black Panther - $700 million
2. Avengers: Infinity War - $679 million
3. Incredibles 2 - $609 million
9. Ant-Man and the Wasp - $217 million

Overall, in 2018, Disney had 26% of the total domestic box office.

So far in 2019, Disney is doing even better, with five of the top 10 films:

1. Avengers: Endgame - $858 Million
2. The Lion King - $511 million
3. Captain Marvel - $427 million
4. Toy Story 4 - $427 million
6. Aladdin - $354 million

So far, that equates to 36% of the total domestic box office.
