SEASON 1:
"Oil" (Parts 1, 2, & 3) By: Bill Conti Score suite #1: Copyrighted out of existence. (got a shitload of hits, somewhere north of 30,000) Score suite #2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cfYpj9bznY Score suite #3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xrmtQAGyhk This is, of course, Conti's only effort for the series. Highlights: Everything. The entire score should be released. NO LOAD FOUND. "The Honeymoon" By: Peter T. Meyers "The Dinner Party" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4avu9e Highlights: 1:27 in. 9:10 in. 11:52 in. 14:21 in. 19:00 in. 30:34 in. 35:45 in. 38:48 in. 45:09 in. That's all bout two or three cues (not counting the party source music). Meyers continues the acoustic guitar theme for Matthew that Conti established in the three-part pilot (not cited above). "Fallon's Wedding" By: Mark Snow https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4avu9o Score suite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z72GAcht9BU Highlights: 1:27 in. 8:36 in.* 15:06 in. 20:10 in. 22:21 in. 38:50 in. 42:21 in. 44:36 in. * = New drinking game: Take a drink when ever Krystal is walking down a hall to pleasant music. This is your second shot, so take two. NO LOAD FOUND. "The Chauffeur Tells a Secret" By: Peter T. Meyers "The Bordello" By: Mark Snow https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4avuax Highlights: 1:27 in. 3:26 in. 13:57 in. And that brief but nice cue after the commercial break. 22:50 in. 35:13 in. 43:30 in. Including a brief acoustic guitar use for Matthew (presuming this is Conti's theme for him). "Krystle's Lie" By: Peter T. Meyers and Mark Snow https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6ffjwg (in English) Highlights: 1:37 in. 3:54 in. 8:30 in. More continued use of acoustic guitar for Matthew. 14:17 in. Bar fight music circa 1981. Not even remotely what you'd get today. 22:45 in. 24:42/27:29 in. (take another shot) 30:39 in. 35:35 in. 40:49 in. 43:28 in. Good God, less than half a season in an so far we've had: a homosexual questioning his sexuality, a man trying to lure the woman he loves away from another man, the woman taking birth control pills to not conceive with her husband, the husband forcing himself on his wife, and more. Makes "Days of Our Lives" look lazy. "The Necklace" By: Peter T. Meyers and Mark Snow https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2s03fd Highlights: 1:27 in. 7:49 in. 10:48 in. 13:33 in. The disco/rock party source music. And the score cue that immediately follows it. 19:05 in. 23:08 in. 26:30 in. 28:13 in. 30:13/33:35/35:41 in. (take another shot) 37:13 in. 43:32/45:42 in. Continuing the acoustic guitar use for Matthew. 47:44 in. "The Beating" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4cnd0q Highlights: About 1:50 in. 7:21 in. More acoustic guitar use for Matthew. 12:05 in. Opens with a solo harp, before adding woodwinds, an acoustic guitar for Matthew, and a glockenspiel(?). 19:16 in. Still continuing acoustic guitar for Matthew. Snow and Meyers really stuck with Conti's idea. 22:38 in. Including what, I think, a porno would sound like if Meyers scored one. 27:11 in. Disco club source music. 30:15 in. 32:56 in. 33:43 in. 36:43 in. 40:01 in. 43:43 in. Chase music for about the first half. These German-language loads I've noticed, don't have any English underneath them, but the music and FX doesn't stop, so that means there were copies of these episodes made with no dialogue, just score and FX. Man, those would be sweet to find... "The Birthday Party" By: Mark Snow https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4eb9rk Highlights: 1:28 in. 8:13 in. 13:20 in. 16:25 in. 22:59 in. 34:36 in. Brief acoustic guitar for Matthew. 37:05 in. 40:35 in. 44:08 in.

Finishing SEASON 1:
"The Separation" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6ffjx9 (in English) Highlights: 1:38 in. 4:48 in. About 8:50 in. Combining a woodwind for what's-her-name (which ha been common for her character) and an acoustic guitar for Matthew. Some real effort was put into this piece (which is of course was put into every cue by every composer on the show, but it's just worth pointing out against today's scoring). 15:00 in. 24:34 in. 26:30 in. Classical music sounding piece for strings. 28:07 in. 32:11 in. 36:46 in. 39:58 in. 42:42 in. 47:20 in. Including some odd use of synths (considering there was an orchestra to use). Some of the scene is edited out. I think I skipped maybe two cues. "Blake Goes to Jail" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6ffjxe (in English) Highlights: 2:17 in. 4:25 in. 20:56 in. 27:50 in. 34:02 in. 48:36 in. "The Testimony" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6fhkc4 (in English) Highlights: 6:24 in. 12:50 in. 18:54 in. 28:35 in. 36:08 in. 45:43 in. Some brief acoustic guitar for Matthew. 47:30 in.

Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6fhk93 Highlights: 1:34 in. 5:10 in. 7:10 in. 10:11 in. 12:05 in. 14:25 in. 18:00 in. 21:15 in. 24:56 in. 28:30/30:21 in. 34:48 in. 39:37 in. 44:15 in. "The Verdict" By: Fred Werner https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x65d708 Highlights: 1:30 in. 5:00 in. 7:39 in. 9:36 in. 12:06 in. 19:52 in. 24:38 in. And the short bit after the commercial break could be tagged onto it. 28:19 in. 32:22 in. 35:55 in. 38:45 in. 42:12 in. 44:45/45:29 in. Dramatic moving in music for Alexis. "Alexis' Secret" By: Richard Lewis Warren https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6fhk97 This is Warren's only effort for the series. Highlights: 1:34 in. Including brief walking music for Alexis. 4:12 in. Including brief dramatic walking away music (yes, Alexis even gets musically dramatic walking away music). 22:50 in. And the dramatic music after the commercial break. 31:49 in. 34:45 in. 38:06 in. And the short cue after the commercial break. 43:03 in. 4:26 in: Fallon isn't wearing any underwear. "Fallon's Father" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x66ob0b Highlights: 1:29 in. 12:30 in. 14:40 in. And the cue after the commercial break. 17:10 in. 25:05 in. And the cue after the commercial break (take another shot). 32:46 in. 33:55 in. 35:25 in. 37:45 in. 42:02 in. 45:54 in. Special slower end credits arrangement. "Reconciliation" By: Fred Werner https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x66ob4h This is Werner's final effort for the series. Highlights: 5:08 in. Club source music. 14:47 in. 20:20 in. 30:06/31:02 in. 37:20 in. Dramatic outtro music. And the cue after the commercial break. 44:14 in. For the guys here: 13:31 in. You're welcome. "Viva Las Vegas" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x66obe4 Highlights: 1:30 in. 4:36 in. 6:51 in. 10:37 in. And the cue after the commercial break. 17:55 in. Evil plotting sounds even more evil in German. 20:26 in. 25:33 in. 28:27 in. And that brief exciting cue after the commercial break. 31:48 in. 43:56 in. 40:00 in: The actor just can't stop looking down. For the guys here: 41:25 in. You're welcome.

Continuing SEASON 2:
"The Miscarriage" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x67pjj9 Highlights: 1:31 in. 7:00 in. 10:23 in. Little SFX. 15:33 in. 21:49 in. 32:16 in. And the bouncy brief cue after the commercial break. 40:28 in. 44:43 in. For the guys here: 29:50 in. You're welcome. "The Mid-East Meeting" By: Marvin Laird https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x67pjjg Highlights: 1:30 in. 5:00 in. 10:27 in. 18:10 in. 23:24 in. 24:30 in. 27:50 in. 29:31 in. 32:25 in. 36:31 in. 43:21 in. "The Psychiatrist" By: Ben Lazarone https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x67pjj0 Highlights: 1:29 in. 6:12 in. About 8:40 in. 16:13 in. 25:15 in. 27:30 in. 35:03 in. 39:50 in. 43:26 in. 26:30 in: What it sounds like she said in English: "lawyer baby". (no doubt soon to be a new CGI film...) "Sammy Jo and Steven Marry" By: Marvin Laird https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x68huby Highlights: 1:30 in. 6:47 in. 9:41 in. 11:40 in. 13:00 in. Catchy piece with a light disco touch. I could imagine this piece as a training montage cue in maybe a Rocky film. 17:05/19:00 in. 20:46 in. 24:26 in. 29:52 in. 32:?? in. And the cue after the commercial break.<<< 33:31 in. 37:39 in. 41:25 in. Including snare drum, which may be one of the first, if not the first, cues in the series so far to have it. 44:43 in. An episode scored by Laird that contains a regular character named Laird. Mass hysteria, cats and dogs living together! "The Car Explosion" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6fjpxb (in English) With a title like that, I'll be disappointed if there is dramatic car-exploding music. Highlights: 1:36 in. 15:23 in. About 17:20 in. 20:39 in. 25:50 in. 42:06 in. 47:54 in. A second game is being added: Anytime Blake says to Krystal that she looks tired, is tired, should lay down, take a shot. Okay, take a shot. Alexis: "It's all your fault." Krystal: "Is it? Good." "Blake's Blindness" By: Ben Lanzarone https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x68huu6 Highlights: 1:28 in. 16:20 in. 26:29 in. 35:27 in. 43:40 in. Okay, it's getting annoying now seeing that Delorian in a few episodes but never seeing it be driven, always just parked there. "The Hearing" By: Marvin Laird https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6fjpxo (in English) Highlights: 1:35 in. About 6:30 in. 8:45 in. 13:13 in. (take another shot) 29:37 in. Including what I think sounds like a combo of synth work and something recorded and played in reverse. 32:59 in. 35:02 in. 41:31 in. To the end of the episode. One thing I have to note is Laird's old-school scoring sensibilities, demonstrated, for example, in 41:31. "The Iago Syndrome" By: Ben Lanzarone https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x69qdc2 Highlights: 1:29 in. 2:52 in. 12:34 in. 15:44 in. 21:07 in. 38:00 in. 42:19 in. "The Party" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x69qd9f Highlights: 1:30 in. 4:27 in. 8:07 in. 16:21 in. 19:20 in. 30:49 in. And the party music that immediately follows (am I the only one who thinks it sort of evokes a 1960's feel?).. 37:43 in. 40:56 in. To the end of the episode. Though not cited in this episode or a previous one, a sax' has been kind of semi established as the instrument for Alexis; this would later on be used by Angela Morley for Alexis' Theme.

Finishing SEASON 2:
"The Baby" By: Marvin Laird https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6gsxwy Highlights: 1:30 in. 4:49 in. 7:40 in. 14:37 in. 25:13 in. 27:20 in. 37:12 in. 38:40 in. 40:38 in. The fight that was long overdue. Alexis desperately needed this ass kicking. "Mother and Son" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6fjpxn (in English) Highlights: 11:20 in. 14:13 in. 23:52 in. 28:52 in. 37:44 in. Short dramatic cue. And the cue after the commercial break. 44:30 in. 47:12 in. Joining a cue already in progress, for the tense dramatic stuff that ends the episode. For the guys here: 23:00 in. You're welcome. "The Gun" By: Ben Lanzarone https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6fmh4e (in English) Highlights: 1:34 in. 5:50 in. 7:03 in. 12:22 in. And the cue after the commercial break. 24:04 in. Quiet piece. And the cue after the commercial break. 36:19 in. 37:28 in. 43:32 in. 46:11 in. For the guys here: 38:20 in. You're welcome. "The Fragment" By: Marvin Laird https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6h6p8c Highlights: 1:30 in. 4:47 in. 9:28 in. 22:47 in. Kind of old-school romantic music. 39:15 in. 44:59 in. Joining a cue already in progress. "The Shakedown" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6h6p8p Highlights: 3:23 in. 5:17 in. 26:53 in. 30:25 in. (take a shot) 33:23 in. The instrumental music on the radio (LOL, no way they'd be listening to that in real life). 35:30 in. 42:30 in. "The Two Princes" By: Ben Lanzarone https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6fmh78 (in English) Highlights: 1:34 in. 10:28 in. Joining a cue already in progress.* 17:40 in.+ 19:08 in. 20:59 in. 26:48 in. 31:02 in. 44:52 in. * = Well, that's how you know Alexis is evil: she likes mushrooms. All she has to do now is grow a beard and eat apples. + = Boy, there sure is a lot of coincidental window looking this season. "The Cliff" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6fmh7v (in English) Highlights: 1:35 in. Even walking to Alexis' little house requires dramatic music even when not Alexis' herself. 11:35 in. Interesting take on the Conti theme opens the cue. 24:47 in. 27:06 in. 33:28 in. 34:51 in. And the cue after the commercial break. 43:32 in. 46:03 in. 47:18 in.

SEASON 3:
The theme has been re-recorded and the end credits now feature a snare drum lead in. NO LOAD FOUND. "The Plea" By: Peter T. Meyers "The Roof" By: Ben Lanzarone https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6fp5n9 (in English) Highlights: 1:36 in. 3:50 in. 23:01 in. 25:07 in. 26:19 in. Got to say, since I haven't yet, I love Claudia's theme (heard here briefly); reminds me Rosenman's theme from a TV movie called "The Face on the Milk Carton". 31:15 in. 37:14 in. And the cue after the commercial break. 41:19 in. "The Wedding" By: Marvin Laird https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6fp5nc (in English) Highlights: 1:34 in. 2:14 in. 6:01 in. 6:51 in. 13:38 in. 16:39 in. 20:25/24:02 in. 21:35 in. 30:07 in. Oh, it just wouldn't be Hollywood of that certain period without the brother/sister shit. 33:17 in. 44:23 in. 46:10 in. Heart attack music.

Continuing SEASON 3:
"The Will" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6fp5mf (in English) Highlights: 7:08 in. 8:56 in. About 13:05/16:19 in. 20:00 in. Joining a cue already in progress. 33:35 in. 42:14 in. "The Siblings" By: Ben Lanzarone https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qz1ju (note to me: new) Highlights: 1:30 in. 13:41 in. 24:51 in. 37:20 in. "Mark" By: Marvin Laird https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6frqlq (in English) Highlights: 1:35/3:00 in. Imagine a composer trying to get away with scoring like this on a TV show today. 6:45 in. 14:40 in. 19:35 in. 25:42 in. 26:25 in. 36:39 in. "Kirby" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qz1jx Highlights: 4:40 in. (take another shot) 6:57 in. 9:19 in. 10:57 in. 14:16/19:59 in. 21:55 in. 28:32 in. 32:49 in. About 34:50 in. 39:44 in. 43:23 in. "La Mirage" By: Marvin Laird https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qz1jz Highlights: 1:30 in. 3:38 in. 6:10 in. 10:46 in. 14:32 in. 17:06 in. 19:00 in. 20:45 in. The party source music. And the cue that immediately follows it. 23:37 in. And the ragtime party source music that follows it after the commercial break (long). And then the party source after the next commercial break. 38:08 in. 44:07 in. A delightfully old-school score. Just terrific. For some reason, a long-running series full of wonderful scoring, like this episode, only had two scores nominated for an award and this was not one of them. "Acapulco" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6frqlv (in English) Highlights: 1:35 in. 3:12 in. 5:39 in. 7:06 in. 9:33 in. 20:18 in. 23:54 in. 26:57 in. 31:35 in. 36:33 in. 38:27 in. 42:10 in. 46:53 in. "The Locket" By: Ben Lanzarone https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6frlv5 (in English) Highlights: 1:35 in. 3:46 in. 8:49 in. 15:59 in. 20:05 in. 24:01 in. 26:22 in. 28:18 in. 38:02 in. 39:16 in. 40:55 in. 42:02 in. 47:15 in. I got to admire how it seems -- at least so far into season three -- that this appears to have been one big plan and not left entirely up to yearly writers meetings for each season. "The Search" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qz1l4 Highlights: 1:30 in. 5:05 in. 14:01 in. 22:34 in. 27:07 in. 29:21 in. 33:05 in. 35:00 in. 36:55 in. "Samantha" By: Marvin Laird https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6fu5ob (in English) Highlights: 1:35 in. 4:21 in. 5:53 in. 11:58 in. 18:07 in. 21:49 in. 26:19 in. 29:34 in. 34:33 in. 35:48 in. 39:03 in. 43:35 in. Another old-school-like score from Laird. "Danny" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6fu1mp (in English) Highlights: 1:35 in. 5:28 in. 12:14 in. And the radio source music that immediately follows. 17:31 in. Joining a cue already in progress. 21:32 in. 28:58 in. 38:11 in. 44:06 in. Joining a cue already in progress. 45:45 in.

Continuing SEASON 3:
All loads this time are in English. "Madness" By: Fred Steiner https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6fu5pz Highlights: 1:35 in. 2:49 in. (take a shot) 6:44 in. 14:14 in. And the cue after the commercial break. 21:34 in. 23:39/25:39 in. And the cue after the commercial break. 29:50 in. 32:34 in. 37:18 in. 44:25 in. Steiner is a welcomed addition to the composer roster, but sadly he did only three episodes. "Two Flights to Haiti" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6fx9gg Highlights: 12:30 in. 15:39 in. Remember when a cue transitioning from one scene to another could sound like that and be more than three seconds? Meyers' scoring career was too short! 17:05 in. Including the rare appearance inside an episode score (as opposed to the end credits) of a snare drum. 18:05 in. 29:06/33:15 in. 37:24 in. The tropical bar source music. "The Mirror" By: Ben Lanzarone https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6fx9h5 Highlights: 1:31 in. 5:57 in. 6:58 in. 8:26 in. 16:52 in. 18:18 in. 35:45 in. "Battle Lines" By: Fred Steiner https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6fx9d8 Highlights: 1:35 in. 6:00 in. 13:47 in. 22:52 in. 34:27 in. 39:58 in. Also contains a "For the guys here". 41:50 in. 46:48 in. I know it's a weird thing to point out, but I just love in the 1980's when a show would have dramatic parts that went overseas for cutaway scenes, so the music would become dramatic and text would appear indicating the location and then we'd get the ridiculous plot aspect. Just something deliciously corny about it. "Reunion in Singapore" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6g0lig Highlights: 3:47 in. 7:55 in. 10:47 in. 16:39 in. Joining a cue already in progress. 18:13 in. 21:29 in. 24:55 in. 29:00 in. 31:41 in. 36:25/39:58 in. 44:37 in. LOL, Krystal gets to tell Blake he's tired for a change. If you've ever watched any of the series before, you know that's a reverse. "Fathers and Sons" By: Ben Lanzarone https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6g0liq Highlights: 1:35 in. 3:19 in. 5:05 in. 10:36 in. 15:42 in. 19:43 in. 23:39 in. 29:15 in. 43:00 in. "The Downstairs Bride" By: Artie Kane https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6g0lik Highlights: 1:35 in. 14:40 in. 22:13 in. 37:02 in. The piano restaurant source music. 40:51 in. 43:10 in. "The Vote" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6g2xw1 Highlights: 1:35 in. 6:50 in. 8:28 in. 11:15 in. 13:23 in. 15:00 in. 22:20 in. 26:00 in. 27:15 in. 32:02 in. 33:31 in. 39:38 in. 43:28 in. 45:42 in. I think 34:38 is tracked from a previous episode. Maybe I'm just imagining and it's just similar material Meyers has done before. "The Dinner" By: Ben Lanzarone https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6g2xzv Highlights: 4:15 in. 6:50 in. 9:13 in. 15:40 in. 17:52 in. 22:44 in. 25:26 in. 28:55 in. With a return of Claudia, returns Claudia's theme. 3251 in. 35:07 in. 39:37 in. 43:09 in. 46:39 in.

SEASON 5:
The opening and closing credits music has been re-recorded again, notably re-doing the ending of the opening. So far, seasons one and two closing/opening themes are my favorites. Pamela Sue Martin, who played Fallon, is now gone. The character will be back, but re-casted. She's still acting, but this was her last series-regular show and there hasn't been much since this show. The new actress would also play the character on the spin-off show "The Colbys" (yes, I'll be covering it in a separate thread; it's the next show I'll do). "Disappearance" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qz4u2 (in German) Highlights: 1:46 in. 20:00 in. Joining a cue already in progress. 22:39 in. 36:58 in. Including a "For the guys here". About 40:33 in. Joining a cue already in progress. "The Mortgage" By: Duane Tatro https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6geb2i Highlights: 1:48 in. 20:51 in. Really just for the opening, so I'd leave this off a set of season five scoring. 27:18 in. Joining a cue already in progress. 31:26 in. 33:15 in. 37:50 in. "Fallon" By: Artie Kane https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6gg1i3 Highlights: 5:55 in. 11:05 in. 16:25 in. 29:15 in. 32:55 in. 40:35 in. Finishing "Where in the world is Fallon Colby?". I like how in the process of trying to ruin Blake's life, with the intricacies of what can happen that a TV series might often ignore, Alexis' is ruining her own life. "The Rescue" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qz4u7 (in German) Highlights: 1:45 in. 4:00 in. About 20:30 in. 29:01 in. 31:09 in. Including some music that sounds like it could have come out of Joel Goldsmith's work on "The Untouchables" TV series (1993). 35:58 in. 39:45 in. "The Trial" By: Peter T. Meyers https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6gg3qv Highlights: 10:55 in. 13:06 in. Just a brief piece I like. 17:43 in. 27:19 in. "The Verdict" By: Angela Morley https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qz4u9 (in German) This is Morley's first effort for the series. Highlights: 26:02 in. 33:03 in. 38:35 in. 40:08 in. For the guys here: 3:45 in. You're welcome. "Amanda" By: Lance Rubin https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5qz4ua (in German) Highlights: 27:27 in. 34:44 in. I'm not sure I'd include either of these on a set of season five scoring. "The Secret" By: Ben Lanzarone https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6gg1hq Highlights: 1:47 in. 13:12 in. 20:50 in. Begins quietly, but goes into some romantic music 23:33 in. 25:47 in. 32:39 in. 41:55 in. Lanzarone even uses Meyer's La Mirage theme. (Note to me: 32:48) CinemaSins voice: "Sudden Alexis' dog is sudden!"
