FACE/OFF---Paramount Pictures remake is underway of the 1997 John Woo movie that starred Nicolas Cage and John Travolta. The remake will have a new cast. Oren Uziel (SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, 22 JUMP STREET) is the writer.
TERMINATOR: DARK FATE---poster released for the sequel.
DARK SHADOWS: REINCARNATION---CW is developing a sequel to the daytime horror tv series described as, “a modern-day continuation of the strange, terrifying, and sexy saga of the Collins family of Collinsport, Maine — a mysterious, influential, publicity-shy group hiding a ghastly secret: For the past 400 years, they’ve lived under a curse that bedevils their blue blood with every imaginable supernatural creature and horror.” The original series ran from 1966-1971.
HAWKEYE---Hailee Steinfeld (TRUE GRIT) has been offered the role of Kate Bishop, Hawkeye's protege and successor, in the Disney+ miniseries starring Jeremy Renner.
TANK GIRL---Alan Martin, co-creator of the TANK GIRL comic book, announced that Margot Robbie bought the movie rights to a remake of the 1995 movie that starred Lori Petty.
THE LAST PLANET---Mark Rylance will play Satan in this Terrence Malik movie about the life of Jesus Christ.
SKYWATCHERS---movie underway based on the upcoming novel about a group of California teenagers in President Truman's Operation Skywatch, who search for one of their members, who mysteriously disappears.
THE RIGHTEOUS GEMSTONES---HBO renewed the series for Season 2.
ZOMBIE BROTHERS---movie underway based on the anime about a Chinese character who leads a group of New Yorkers against a zombie apocalypse. Todd Strauss-Schulson is in talks to direct.
MUPPETS LIVE ANOTHER DAY---Disney+ cancelled the proposed Josh Gad sequel tv series.
TRIVIA---in the sci fi movie THE OMEGA MAN, Rosalind Cash commented on her biracial love scene with Charlton Heston, "It feels strange to screw Moses."
Heston starred as Moses in Cecil B. DeMille's biblical epic THE TEN COMMANDMENTS.
