This film's trailer scared the bejeezus out of me as a kid, one that I remember to this day.

Oh man, me too.
I was 16, but still!

I have the Italian 4k UHD release of the film which is the Cult restoration -- the Synapse restoration apparently differs quite a bit in terms of color tones and density (DVD Beaver has screen caps for comparison of the two restoration efforts).

I saw this film as a first-run feature in the wayback days when I moved to NYC in the summer of 1977 at a not-very-nice movie theater. One of those special cases when a film treated like a grind house exploitation cheapie eventually gets recognized as such a milestone and "classic cinema".

Also one of my all-time favorite soundtracks. I'll probably bite the bullet and budget funds for this release -- it'll join the Cult 4k, an old Anchor Bay Deluxe DVD set, and an even older laser disc.
