Also, Moby Dick (Christopher Gordon) - no one's mentioned this one yet - great score. Many years ago I attended a session where Gordon discussed the production and showed us a number of scenes without and then with the music. It was videoed and is held at the Australian Film, Radio & TV School Library and also the Sydney Conservatorium of Music library I believe.

The Coolangatta Gold by Bill Conti

Probably has my favorite five Bill Conti tracks ever, in one film!!!!! (And Victory) But it is all wonderful. What is it with Conti and sports films? He just goes crazy.

I just found a soundtrack (on the 1M1.com.au website) by Bruce Smeaton that had been nominated for the AFI (Australian Oscar) for best score titled "Wendy Cracked a Walnut" released on the 1M1 Records label in 1990. Has anyone heard it?

I'm going to recommend Bruce Smeaton's "Eliza Fraser" (1976) that starred Susannah York. It was paired with "Summerfield" (see first post) on a 2002 1M1 Records release.

Also wanted to include here David Hirschfelder's fine scores for Shine (1996) and The Water Diviner (2014) as well as Nerida Tyson-Chew's first-rate work on "The Deep" (2015-2019 action-adventure animated series).

Can't forget "We Of The Never Never" by Peter Best from 1982. That's one magnificent score. The entire score (35 minutes) is on the all-region Blu Ray for the film.
