This was just released last week digitally though it's from a 2017 film. Regardless it is SENSATIONAL! Easily of the best things I've heard in recent times. Anyone who's a fan of this duo's great score for Zeitlin's film Beasts of the Southern Wild will be in raptures again to hear that it was certainly no fluke.
And yet this for the most part sounds nothing like that score.
The percussion!!!!!!!! That's all I'll say - it's outstanding. And the last two tracks alone will be on replay here for weeks to come.
Romer's recent solo work has been exceptional - Far Cry and Maniac amongst others - and this happily continues the trend. He's definitely a fascinating new voice.
