However, some venues might be reluctant to publish his cartoons. Critics aren't my concerns. Newspapers were where he ran his comics, and pre-internet society had a communal history which provided a context for his humor. I'm not talking about his pre-existing fans, although some of them have probably changed with the times and might not have the attention span for his one-panel jokes.Charlie Chaplin stopped making his style of comedy films, Vaudeville died out, etc. Technology, taste, society, etc changes.
