You're quite welcome! I'm confident you'll enjoy it. It's a pretty fun score.

As for what John Barry was thinking, he was actually the second choice. Initially, they wanted Thomas Dolby to do the score too, but it turned out to not be a good fit. Here's a sneak peak at page 8 of the liner notes:

JOHN BARRY: "They gave me a last-minute call to do it, and I thought it would be exciting to work with George Lucas."

Having heard this score...I'm glad Barry made that mistake! big grin

As it turns out, Barry never even met Lucas, which added to his regret of having worked in the film.

I saw the news of the 4K release and have been listening to this soundtrack again.

Even 12 y.o. me knew that the movie wasn't very good and 3 decades haven't changed that. However the nostalgia aspect has kicked in and I can kick back and enjoy its silliness. Love Lea's 80's hair in the movie and I've always like the soundtrack.
