You forgot to put "Graeme Revell" or "wrote" in quotes!

I wonder if the liner notes will go into that, because this definitely felt more like Shirley Walker WROTE it instead of just orchestrating/conducting it (and there's no other score in Revell's repertoire that sounds remotely like it). Or maybe it'll forever be a nebulous Poltergeist situation, where people have debated who "really" directed it since 1982.

Regardless, I'm THRILLED this is finally getting a legit release after that horrible-sounding b00tleg that has been floating around for years. It was one of the earliest memories I have of being bitterly disappointed a score didn't have a soundtrack release.

Revell actually did have a few similarly orchestral scores around the same time (The Hand The Rocks The Cradle, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Ghost in the Machine) so I’m not convinced he didn’t score the majority of Childs Play 2

Regardless, this is a grail of mine also so I’m 100% excited to finally have this in my hands!

When you make fun of LLL for releasing Pet Sematary Two, only for them to release your holy grail you’ve been begging for for years.

What? The guy who called Pet Sematary Two "crap" consider Child's Play 2 masterfull filmaking? As movie I think Pet Sematary Two is certainly more audacious than the by-the-numbers first sequel to Child's Play.

Even Child's Play 2 not being a good movie it has a wonderfull score indeed. Great to finally have it released! Thanks LaLaland!

That's right, same about Body of Evidence, Until the End of the World or Boxing Helena

OK... this sounds really impressive smile

Impressive, indeed! And miles away from the boring minimalist horror scores of nowadays. This Revell Fan is now a happy camper.

Never heard this score nor seen this film, however from the samples I sense a kind of a Hellraiser-ish structure, which I like a lot.

Ordered. Thanks, Lalaland!

I really do class this as one of Revell's best efforts as the movie sucked to hell the music was very macbre & energetic, when I've listened to CP2 vs the original I hear that extra dissonance applied.

Great release well-done LLL, count me in THANKS.

I watched the film yesterday, and was really impressed by the music at several points. The main titles music really got me paying attention and even the suspense stuff seemed well thought out and interesting. Overall, i really liked it and it was a nice surprise, elevated a fairly dull horror sequel. Pity i have zero cash (if it's even still available) but I hope folks are buying it.

I was just listening to this again today and it really is soooo good! When I first played it I initially thought it had a killer main title but the rest didn’t really grab me quite as much. On a few listens though I was so wrong. It’s a great work that really benefits from a start to finish listen where you appreciate all the little and big moments that make up one big wow!
On that point Graeme Revell has done some amazing scores over the years which makes it a bit of a shame that I think he dropped the ball on the high profile, horror-fans special, FREDDY VS JASON. When I think what he did for CHILD’S PLAY 2 it’s surprising that FvJ seems so lacklustre and uninspired. Maybe that’s how he felt about the film.

With The Crow and Street Fighter, the most impressive stuff by Revell (not forget Power Rangers, huh?), is a truly good horror score by anymeans, altough, the rumors of Walker's involvement in the writting... um, is complicated, because Revell write Street Fighter with Simonec as conductor and orchestrator, and also Call of Duty 2 (a gem).

Freddy vs Jason, is a guilty pleasure of mine, movie and score, truly enjoyable by me.

Love the FvJ film. It was everything I’d hoped for. The score...not so much. I’ve listened to it a few times but nothing really stands out for me. I’ll give it another go.
