Whatever, just as long as it's not Frank-in-Stylotone. What, no love for Frank Stallone?

Then why not release all of the available music? There, I said it again, so sue me. Well, on Disc 1 it certainly looks like they are releasing all (or virtually all) of Dominic Frontiere's contribution to the show, which I'm sure is what matters most, to the most people. I suspect their thought is that a more expensive multi-disc set with complete scores by Gertz, Tatro, etc. would not sell as well and break even on the costs. As I understand it, all original scores written for the series are represented by at least one cue, here, which I think is nice (similar to what was done for Then Came Bronson on Intrada). The last time LLL did a comprehensive series set was Lost in Space, and apparently that huge set had disappointing sales for them, in comparison to their costs. They kept discounting it to get rid of it. And because of that, The Time Tunnel was done as a highlights set (albeit with John Williams's compositions all completely represented, of course). I suspect we are lucky to get what we get, at this point, when it comes to classic TV scoring. The labels have to remain financially solvent or we won't get anything at all! I for one will be grateful for their classic TV released because I know how difficult and complicated they are to do (much more so than film or TV movies), even if I might miss a specific favorite cue here and there. ...will thrill not just INVADERS fans, but also classic TV and score enthusiasts of all ages. Then why not release all of the available music? There, I said it again, so sue me. I told you the Every Cue Separatists would.be pissed.

Alternatively: 1. There might not be much left to release (in regards to available tapes and/or damaged tapes). 2. Maybe more will appear in a future Quinn Martin volume (depending on sales of this, I would presume). And on another note: someone said they think this will sell out quickly at 2,000 units. Lest we all have forgotten, LLLR released a multi disc set of scores from the original "Mission: Impossible" scores, which has often been requested in the same breath as other TV scoring such as "Columbo" and "The Six Million Dollar Man", yet it's not only not sold out, it's not sold very well. Then there's "Star Trek", which they did the super mega box set of and even took requests in advance to get an idea of how many to make and even then it's still not gone, and Star Trek in general has sold fairly well or better in the past. Could a smaller set, which translates into a smaller price and lower costs for shipping to those overseas, break the mold? We'll see.

I didn't know you worked for Lalaland. We know Frontiere wrote three original scores for the show. Typically three scores for hourlong episodes fit on a single disc, which looks like the case here. Do I need to work for La-La Land to observe that? Yavar

I'd be happy for MV to chime in of course! I would think Invaders fans would just be happy to be getting two packed discs of material from the show, with Frontiere (I myself have never noticed people clamoring for the Invaders scores not written by him, whatever its quality) seemingly being fully represented. Compare that to, say, Barnaby Jones fans who had to make do with half of one disc on The Quinn Martin Collection Vol. 1. (I rather doubt at this point there is going to be a follow up Barnaby Jones-only release with other episode scores by Rosenthal, Alexander, Friedhofer, etc. now that the Goldsmith score has been released) Yavar

Haha, whoops! I’ve seen some crazy fellow posting “THE TIME TUNNEL - COMPLETE!” elsewhere on this board and it must’ve just worked its way into my brain and came out by accident instead of Land of the Giants. Yavar
