I can't get the time zone to change. All of my posts are being listed as an hour earlier, no matter how much I fiddle with the preferences.

I've.mentioned this.numerous times.
Read my posts dammit.

I suspect everybody is off by an hour because of a daylight's saving time issue. I will ask the webmaster.

I'm having a hard time understanding why someone needs to know exactly when they posted their last snarky comment on a message board. roll eyes

FYI, the search engine doesn't work properly. Well, it's always been a bit wonky, but now -- when you type in, say, Anthony Hopkins or whatever, and limit it to 'topic', all kinds of threads pop up that have nothing to do with that. This wasn't the case before and seems to be a result from whatever was done to the board recently.

And also, of course, the board is still sluggish and slow.

Don't know if the changes have been implemented, or there are still things going 'behind the scenes', but just thought I'd let you know.

When I search for Marshall all I get is Marshmallow. But I think that's Phelps fault not the boards.

I actually did a search right now for "insufferable tosspot" and fifteen posts appeared. None of them had either of the words as a topic heading, but curiously the search engine picked out the word "insufferable" from about half the content of the posts, and the word "tosspot" from one particular post buried deep in a topic.

Never any chance of you getting called up in that search Graham. Although possibly a higher chance of being thrown up by an "Amusing Scotsmen" search! smile

No, it's true! Typing a search for "insufferable tosspot" brings up 15 threads, none of them with either of the key words in the topic title. But in "thread content" it highlights "insufferable" fourteen times followed by different nouns. "Insufferable" plus "tosspot" appears once, in "These Phrases Need to Come Back". And yet this thread itself hasn't appeared yet and I've typed "insufferable tosspot" more than once. Maybe it's the inverted commas. I'll try it without the commas -

Experiment - insufferable tosspot
