It’s spooky season! To celebrate, Paste is teaming up with Waxwork Records to give one lucky reader a deluxe double LP copy of the soundtrack to the latest film adaptation of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary.

Composed by Christopher Young, the man behind the music of other horror flicks like A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge and Drag Me To Hell, the music of Pet Sematary is dark, dissonant and synth-driven to create an atmosphere of dread and grief that spirals violently out of control. Young sonically captures the ominous supernatural element of the film and its story with his decades-long experience of scoring horror standouts.

This year’s supernatural horror film adaptation is an adaptation of the popular 1983 novel of the same name by horror master King. The story follows a husband and wife who move with their young son and daughter to a new home in Maine. After the accidental death of their daughter soon after settling in, the grieving father exhumes her and buries her in a burial ground known to bring loved ones back from the dead—an act that dooms the family.

This deluxe edition comes jam-packed with features, including the complete soundtrack by Young as a deluxe double LP featuring a 180-gram “Church” Colored Vinyl, new artwork by Christopher Shy, composer liner notes, old-style gatefold jackets and 11”X11” printed inserts.
Pet Sematary was released in April, and grossed a worldwide total of $112.4 million. It stars Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz and John Lithgow.

Readers who would like to win the deluxe double LP Pet Sematary soundtrack may enter here. U.S. entries only. Contest runs Tuesday, Oct. 8, through Sunday, Oct. 13, at 11:59:59 p.m. ET.
Listen to the soundtrack below, and check out the LP’s album art, too. The soundtrack is also available for purchase on the Waxwork Records site.
