British clothes brand N.Peal has done a James Bond collection and a commercial was made. David Arnold did a fantastic Bondian score to it, proving why he is the ideal man to score the films. Wonderful brass stabs, good melody etc. Rumour has it Barbara Broccoli demanded Arnold compose the music for the ad. Shows that EON still appreciate him and might look to get him back if one of their auteur directors is willing.
However, I'm looking forward to Dan Romer's score.
Thanks. That's a great piece in build-up it ran cool in the ad. Arnold is right for Bond bosses do love him i'm sure he'll return for #6, Now the project its been a bock shooting, it can't be held-up like this. Injured cast, fired director - producer - change of composer maybe again. i can't remember a Bond this messy.
That was better than almost any movie theme I've heard this year—including Arnold's own work for GOOD OMENS. Not using a still-breathing Arnold for Bond movies is like not using a still-breathing Alan Menken for Disney movies: insane, but it happens.
A particularly strong moment is when the guy gets into the car and she drives away tracked by an overhead camera with the music soaring. If all Arnold's Bond music were this good, opinion about his Bond contribution would be less divided . Sadly, too often the action music has been average Hollywood Summer blockbuster crash bank wallop busy endless generic scoring. It's a pity because at his best he can do the business. In fairness this may have been to meet the demands of the studio music department who felt they had to compete with action movie music competition.
Nice score but the music doesn't match the mood of the visuals at all. (other than in one or two beats) The music seems totally disconnected from the commercial.

I agree but it was so good that I don't even care.
