A new animated adventure, based on the Dr Seuss story, on Netflix from November 8th.
Newman already scored The Cat In The Hat feature film some years back.
Hope this one's a goodun.

David sounded *really* excited about this project (and he feels no connection to Dr. Seuss in general, apparently) near the end of our conversation earlier this year:

Yesterday the composer tweeted about the score twice:

"Nov. 8 - green eggs and ham - it's a fantastic show. Great for adults as well as kids. I had the pleasure of scoring all 13 episodes. Don't miss it!"

And here's a reply to Track Sounds' comment of "This looks A LOT better than I thought it would. Looks like it will be filled to the brim with pop songs, BUT I look forward to hearing David Newman's (@dnewmanm5) score."

"Not really all that many songs. At least 19 mins of score for every episode. Generally the episodes are a bit less than 25 mins. It's a wonderful show."

So, do we get to hear it?

Always looking forward to new D. Newman, but also as always with animated features -- dreading overkill of mickey-mousing.

Hear it? We don't even get to see it unless we shell out of the service.

Gentlemen, fear not.

Nice music. Show looks good, too.

Watched the first episode and as much as I love David Newman, I don't think I could stand to watch any more episodes.

A desecration of Seuss' story.

Also the score seems buried in the mix.

Go to say, I agree with Bond1965. This looks like it's mad to be watched by somebody twelve and under.

As opposed to the book?

Kids plowed through it in two days. I thought it was pretty clever. When there's something that's kid friendly and it doesn't make me want to gouge my eyes out it's a win. If they're watching this they're not watching Pokemon.

Between Galaxy Quest, Ice Age, and now this we seem to be in the David Newman zone! And he did a terrific job.

A year later, we're probably no closer to a release of this colorful music, which is a shame.

Engaging show, as well.

I totally missed this. Gorgeous animation and backgrounds.
