A seasonal enquiry - and apologies if this has been discussed before..

The version of Let it Snow sung by Vaughan Monroe at the end of Die Hard is not the same as the one available on various Xmas type CDs. It sounds like a later recording because the clarity is better and it is also shorter (1.42 vs. 3.04) and is a different arrangement. Anyone got any info on this (initial google search doesn't reveal anything)?

It's from Monroe's 1958 album, "There I Sing/Swing It Again."

In my head I always hear Sinatra's version over those End titles (Vaughn sounds third rate to blue-eyes)
