Yes, I considered making a thread about this myself, but wanted to wait a couple of weeks -- just in case Lukas & co. were actually working to fix it. The search engine worked fine before the server update a month ago or so (well, it's always been a bit wonky -- not being able to find recent threads, for example -- but at least it worked reasonably well), then a couple of weeks after the server update, all kinds of hits popped up that were more or less relevant. And then now, most recently, it doesn't work at all. So that's the progression there. I hope it gets fixed, because I'm 100% dependent on it in my use of this forum. Meanwhile, I'm using the Google alternative.

This forum is just *so* 1997 anyway. Maybe it's time to move on.

When they did board maintenance a month ago we lost about 24hrs worth of posts. How well I remember. That incident broke my heart. That 24-hour period contained some of my most amazing, Shakespearean contributions. Maybe GOOGLE cached it.
