I don't think this CD has been mentioned yet:

As you can see, it boasts a different artwork and a different sequencing as compared to the previous expanded release. I must say I like the new artwork, which is closer to the original LP published by General Music France at the time of the film release.
By the way, unlike WHITE DOG, I've never seen this movie directed by Samuel Fuller and should maybe try to find it, also because I like this score a lot.

That's great news! The Saimel expanded edition has been OOP for ages.

Thanks for the heads up!

Finally! The old releases were very hard to find and extremely expensive.

I had this on LP from days gone by.
Having never seen the film, I would have picked up the LP in a Liverpool record shop, whilst going through an Ennio Morricone binge, circa 1984-87.
The Main/Love theme is typical Ennio. It recalls so many other themes by him, while still retaining it's own identity. It's also sweeping and gorgeous.
And there's a nice variety to the score, with gentle, summer breeze 'love' music (Unconcious Happiness) and exciting/rising chase/suspense music (Counterpoints) and also mystical motifs (A Fake), wafting in and out of the Main theme.
Anyway, I've just received the new CD (released by Beat) from Intrada.
It's the LP programme I'm familiar with (roughly 30 minutes) plus 12 minutes of alternate takes/versions.
It sounds great too.
Viva Ennio!!

I bought this CD from Music Box a month ago. It's a good score. Such a shame that the film itself by the fabulous Sam Fuller is nigh on possible to get hold of. Watched Fuller's 'House of Bamboo' a few weeks ago and his '40 Guns' on Sunday - a terrific director.
