He was quite the accomplished artist and intellectual. His series, Atheism: A Rough History of Disbelief is well worth watching. Miller was also part of Beyond the Fringe with Dudley Moore, Peter Cook, and Alan Bennett. They even put in a 1962 appearance on What's My Line?, as Beyond the Fringe was a Broadway sensation at the time.

Miller was a noted director of operas, a physician, and probably anything else he wanted to be.

Sad news.

And Clive James too. Average IQ in the world has dropped a bit.

Jonathan Miller, Dudley Moore, Alan Bennett, and Peter Cook in their 1962 appearance on What's My Line? Cook would subsequently make appearances on the show as a guest panelist.

Arlene Francis seems especially smitten with the Beyond the Fringe cast.

I figured you would be the other FSMer who would feel the loss. Thanks to litefoot and BillCarson for their contributions, as well.

I have only one recollection of him, from a talk show. He said that on his passport or something, near "Eye Color" and "Weight", etc., there was a line to put "Build". He said he wrote "lissome."

The entirety of the terribly English "Beyond the Fringe" has long been available on The 'Tube.
