Many Irwin Allen productions have a cymbal crash when his name appears on screen, whether it makes sense musically or not. It must be in the composer's contract.

Many Irwin Allen productions have a cymbal crash when his name appears on screen, whether it makes sense musically or not. It must be in the composer's contract. The Film version of The Towering Inferno had those crashes, but Williams Album of the Towering Inferno, but the crash was present at the bay of the ship as the helicopter passes by, film version And it is truly good to hear, The Main Theme of EARTHCRAP ...Quake I mean, without that dreadful awful quake sound..the Johnny Towner Theme sound damn good now. The Film Version At 2:49...Produced by Irwin Allen..Cymbal Crash https://youtu.be/nmyzmwzH_3A Album Version...at 2:49...NO cymbal Crash..https://youtu.be/BYDDEJNlUZo And there are many other differences from Film Version and Album..The Album to me sounds much more vibrant and more full.

THANK YOU, LA LA LAND & Mike Matessino! I have been waiting for the complete original film score to EARTHQUAKE since I first saw it over 15 years ago! The cue when they are using the office chair to lower the trapped civilians is what grabbed me the most, and of course the Main and End Titles. Those were included on the MCA LP back in the day, of which I acquired immediately upon seeing the film. But so many great cues, the aftermath cue, as brief as it is, is fantastic and utterly chilling. The film mixes are also slightly different from the album, as was the typical Williams' fare for the day. So it will be righteous to hear those. Not to say that I am not equally as excited about TPA and TTI. It's great to see that "Trapped Lovers" has been appropriately divided in to the two cues that it actually is, I always preferred the film order. Many thanks, hugs and kisses to all involved in this release! And I just won it at a Trivia night here in LA! :-D

Still haven't received my shipping notice for these CDs (it says my order is "awaiting fulfillment"). Has anyone else here had this problem?

Mine arrived today, with an extra loose insert for Earthquake in the box. Looks like the original insert, sealed in the box with the set, mistakenly has the same catalog number as Inferno, 1517. The new one fixes it, and has 1518. However it was loose inside the box, so it's all bent up. I'll stick with the original, though I guess for contractual reasons they had to do up a revised one. Anyway, cannot WAIT to dive into this set over the weekend!!!!!! The packaging is stunningly gorgeous in every way!
