I liked it, both the show and the score. I did miss some of the themes from previous seasons, but this one did have some new great ones. Like you mentioned the Charles theme was really good. I also like the Philip theme and the sister theme. And the cue "New Queen" was amazing!
continues to be a first rate show, even if the new cast for the two sisters have boots too big to fill; bonham carter is fine as margaret but it feels like a different direction for the character, i can't help imagining the original actress playing the limerick scene across from clancy brown, how compelling it might have been, and how much of harold wilson's relay to the queen would have been left out as a result. i like the score a lot, noticing it a lot more this season, may pick it up.
ITV bosses held music back, I read bits of news I don't know the show , so I had a listen too Phipps Barrett & Baebes who I haven't heard of, the orchestration is recycled but rich textures patterns woven into choir variations blossom beautiful colours lyrically even a little haunting perfect for royal-zest, I will buy this soon good-post.
