And what have you done for humanity, big shot ( posting CD covers doesn't count)?

Spare me the sanctimonious observations, you astigmatic automaton.

Making fun of a person's disability goes over the line, you serial poster!

I watch the Golden Globes so that I know which designer I should ask to make my next red carpet formal. wink

I enjoyed the program, but I felt a "In Memoriam" film should have been shown.

I loved Ellen DeGeneres' speech. She made me laugh out loud several times.

I do wish winners would be gracious and coherent when accepting their awards. I had a hard time following Joaquin Phoenix's acceptance speech. He just seemed to ramble incoherently for most of his speech. I would say the same thing about Renee Zellweger. She seemed very incoherent until the last minute or so of her speech, and then she made some sense.

So Tom Hanks got all po-faced at the jokes?
The same Tom Hanks that starred in that benchmark of enlightenment called "Bachelor Party"?

And you can't really blame Adrian Zmed for that role.
Working with Shatner just loosens a guy up, you know?

So I just watched some clips of Ricky's bit and I loved that DiCaprio was one of the only ones that can laugh at himself.
Cool guy.

Gervais said something like " you don't know what's happening in the real world, anymore than ______ does.

? did he refer to?

He said "You know nothing about the real world. Most of you spent less time in school than Greta Thunberg."

Greta Thunberg is a Swedish teenage climate activist. Thunberg first became known in August 2018 when, at age 15, she began spending her school days outside the Swedish parliament to call for stronger action on global warming by holding up a sign saying (in Swedish) "School strike for the climate".

In August 2019, Thunberg sailed across the Atlantic Ocean from Plymouth, England, to New York, USA, in a 60-foot (18 m) racing yacht equipped with solar panels and underwater turbines. The trip was announced as a carbon-neutral transatlantic crossing serving as a demonstration of Thunberg's declared beliefs of the importance of reducing emissions. France 24 reported that several crew would fly to New York to take the yacht back to Europe. In September 2019, she addressed the UN Climate Action Summit in New York. Thunberg was also nominated for the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize.

Yes. Nothing carbon neutral about that publicity stunt.

So....when are you.moving.to Australia?

Hanks thinks America is the greatest country in the world because he can afford to buy.his own jet, and avoid lines.at airports.

What a twit!

He's a celebrity, she's a celebrity.
That's all that matters in that world
