Since Morton Stevens and Jerry Goldsmith were good friends, and Stevens was C.B.S. West Coast Music Director from '65 to '77, what would've happened if Stevens had assigned Goldsmith to score an episode of "Hawaii Five-O"?
Not sure JG would of been as quirky with MS theme, but I do believe JG would of had 1-2 funky pieces in episode. Given Goldsmith's ability for culture like The Mummy or Ghost & TD that having so much African influence its gentle or weighty its bloody great, JG could have easily arranged some exotic Hawaiian taste.
So where are my dang releases for Thriller (sixteen episode scores), Gunsmoke (six episode scores), Wagon Train (two), Have Gun - Will Travel (two), Destry (three episode scores), and maybe a full release for Anna and the King (three), hmm?

Yavar
And I'm still waiting for a rerecording of the three "Thriller" episode scores by Stevens which I consider his best - "Pigeons From Hell", "Waxworks" and "The Premature Burial".
If you listen to our very first Thriller podcast from earlier this year, we had Leigh Phillips on as a special guest and he talked about his desire to use Kickstarter to fund a third Tadlow Thriller volume, to cover the four as-yet-untackled Goldsmith scores, but also -- he said that he would like to include Stevens's beloved Pigeons from Hell score as well, since the previous two volumes represented six scores each. You can listen to our delightful conversation with him here: http://goldsmithodyssey.buzzsprout.com/159614/944720-episode-17-thriller-the-poisoner-1961

He'd be probably have been lumbered with one of the worst episodes like "Once Upon A Time" (Parts I and II).

His "Deep Rising" is somewhat 'Hawaii-Five-O'-ish.
