Coulais is definitely interesting... with Neveux he is a bit hit and miss... but when he is on, he is capable of GREAT things - just check his Cezane et moi if you haven't heard that one. I am pretty sure you'll love it There is a lot French composers I am very interested in... but most of them are underemployed these days... which reminds me what the hell happened between Rombi and Ozon? At least there is still Cyrille Aufort (pretty busy, hardly anything released and if there is something - no CD), Mathieu Gonet, Mathieu Lamboley, Nicolas Errera and couple others who keep working... but no new Rombi score in sight is very disappointing. Thanks for your reply, Lokutus. I don't have the CD of CEZANNE ET MOI but have seen the movie. Well, I found it pleasant but that's it. Believe it or not, I never heard of Matthieu Gonet. As for Nicolas Errera, I regret that his most recent scores didn't make it on CD. Regarding the music of Philippe Rombi, I'm usually less enthustiatic about it than you are.

It's a very short list of titles this year (so far) where I'm interested in the movie and the score: Birds of Prey (Pemberton's experimental, 'coloring outside the lines' style seems like a natural for this movie) Sonic the Hedgehog (I'm willing to be surprised by a Holkenborg score, especially if quotes of the game music work their way in) Black Widow (really, I'd see this no matter who scored it and if Jackman gets to write something like Jumanji, I'm sold Scoob (Silvestri returns to cartoony scoring...that is all) And then there are those where, at least, I'm looking forward to the score: Dolittle (180 million dollars and endless reshoots and this is the best they can do, but at least Elfman's score will be fantastic) Onward (rare for a Pixar movie, but nothing I've seen makes me want to rush out and watch it - and I was actually looking forward to Cars 2 - though the Danna brothers always do good work on animated movies) The Woman in the Window (I'd have to see a trailer, but again, Elfman) Artemis Fowl (kinda meh - wouldn't be surprised if it ended up on Disney Plus - but Doyle in fantasy mode...)

- THE RHYTHM SECTION - NO TIME TO DIE - ARTEMIS FOWL - GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE - DEATH ON THE NILE - DUNE And all those scores that do not come with major blockbuster settings and surprise and elevate the art.

No, the composer hasn't been on the list for that film. It says "TBC" where Marco's name should be..

I believe he's alluding to the fact (in his own cheeky way) that you are in a continued like of people who didn't pay attention to what the thread is about.
