I found this flyer in my old box of stuff advertising a film music concert in Baltimore on July 11, 1977. The first half was David Raksin conducting suites from Viva Zapata (North), The White Dawn (Mancini), The Wild Bunch (Fielding), and Forever Amber (Raksin)! The second half was Elmer Bernstein conducting suites from The Ghost and Mrs Muir (Herrmann), The Wind and the Lion (Goldsmith), To Kill a Mockingbird (Bernstein), and The Magnificent Seven (Bernstein). Not living anywhere near Baltimore I was unable to attend. I think I got the flyer in the mail from Soundtrack Album Retailers, an old mail order service I used before internet days. What a great selection. Did any of you attend?

villagarden553, did you mean to post a pic along with your description? That line-up of stuff is terrific, has the makings of one of the best film music concerts of all time!! EDIT : A bit of googling reveals that the proposed concert never took place, due to "lack of support". As mentioned in an old edition of "Pro Musica Sana", the publication of the Miklos Rozsa Society. Perhaps Rozsaphile of these pages can give some info on it...
