I was able to listen the whole thing when was come the past year. But have to say, after see the movie, is much better than i expected. Terrific job from Newman (and a good movie by Mendes), The Night Window, one of my favorites cues of 2019

Saw the film at IMAX today and what a fantastic film it is. Great performances, brilliant photography by Deakins. Sam Mendes at his absolute best. All backed up by a wonderful score by Newman. Exciting, tense, sad, moving.....I loved this film and want to see it again.

Got talking to a late middle-aged lady in a doctor's waiting room the other day. She mentioned that she and her husband had just seen and loved "1917." Then she added, "and the music was great, too." Not knowing it was by Thomas N., one of my favorite contemporary film composers, I asked this non-film-music-geek how she would describe the score she'd just praised. She thought a moment and then said, "Soaring."

As I type this, Newman is being interviewed by Jim Svejda on Classical KUSC FM here in LA. At this moment, they've just finished playing a selection from "1917" which Svejda introduced simply as "the End Titles," and then added after its conclusion that it "included the theme, 'Come Back to Us.'"
