Thanks for Fanzine I've got some catching-up to do.. Too be honest I haven't followed Morricone for sometime not out of lost-love for his music I still dig-it - just a certain director that he worked with that by all accounts weren't at that professional level - if your asking or cursing particulars off a legend that Morricone is - in adequate movies then those results don't shine.

Patrick, thanks for another very informative and enjoyable read.

Does anyone know what Martin van Wouw is doing nowadays ?

Good question...Martin seems to have disappeared from Morricone Fandom in recent years.

I have no idea whether Martin, Sijbold or René read this board but I’d like to greet these Dutch fans. I had the opportunity to meet them on various occasions in the past in Holland, Belgium and France and have fond memories of these moments. I hope you all are well.

In spite of the semi-retirement of Morricone, there are quite a lot of news in this issue of Maestro. By the way, I like very much the brand new theme he’s come up for MSC Cruise (see page 5). And unlike Didier, the rhythmic background is also very pleasant to my ears but it’s purely a matter of taste of course. Regarding the articles, a small disappointment regards Christion Gion’s account (page 48). This guy is definitely the Clint Eastwood of the interview!! But this issue otherwise makes for pleasant reading throughout. Thanks for your effort, guys.

Nice work, as usual. Also nice to see him conduct again, after 7 months. I have added the date to his concert list:

To be honest I don't know, since he retired somehow from fandom and community. But I suppose he still lives and works in Holland. I know that he still downloads and surely read "Maestro". Admiration for Morricone is difficult to quit, isn't it?

Thank you all, guys, for your posts and encouragements.
And good reading for all.
