Hi Guys, since Silva Screen have seen fit to release two different albums for "His Dark Materials" I'm wondering if anyone has bought the new two disc version. I have invested in the musical anthology and really like it especially tracks like "The Tales of Lee Scoresby" but I don't see any reference to this track on the expanded release which has entirely different track titles. Can anyone shed light on this or are the tracks on the anthology suites of several tracks sewn together?. I also don't see mention of the main title on the expanded release either. Basically I'm wondering is it worth buying the expanded release as well? Any guidance appreciated.
I was only intending to buy the CD version (Anthology), and Kinda guessed that the actual soundtrack version was a digital download only. This is purely a deduction, as I've not seen any of this explained. If both versions were available on CD I would buy both.
Both albums will be available on CD in February. The single disc release titled the musical anthology is a concept album and contains the themes from the show. The CD version will have an additional track called Will: The Knife Bearer. The 2 disc version is the actual soundtrack for season one.
