Great spot! And followed by The L-Shaped Room, a kitchen sink drama with jazz sequences by JB. TiVo set for both.

Thanks, Patrick, I'd have probably missed this.

Great fun - as much of the show as I watched (I do recall seeing parts of the show back in the 60s, usually up to the Beat the Clock game, after which it was bed-time smile) but so - so dated.

I'll watch the JB7/AF section again today (now that the effects of the gold and red liquids have worn off) but I'm pretty convinced that the performances were mimed ... with only the Adam Faith/Bruce Forsyth rendition of Poor Me being live.

It was good to see Vic Flic centre stage; Mr Barry had little or no stage presence ... but his music was wonderful!

I watched The L-Shaped Room (1962) a few months ago. A fabulous performance by Leslie Caron makes this a well worthwhile film ... highly recommended.

Looking forward to it. And now we’re at a certain age, was it bedtime again after Beat the Clock? big grin
