Alexandre Desplat wrote a bombastic truly magnificent score that deserves
A deluxe complete 2cd edition.
I wonder if any soundtrack company label is interested in doing so.

From an interview that Conrad Pope gave to ScoreCast back in 2014, he indicted that there was a lot of choral stuff that couldn't make it onto the soundtrack because of re-use fees. I wouldn't mind hearing an expanded edition of this score.

I really enjoy this score. The album really flows well for me and i listen to it often. I love the main theme.

This is one of those soundtracks is so made really well (Desplat's theme for Godzilla is so tremendous) and truly engaging, and can't stop listening time to time.

Funny, I feel that about the second one by Bear Mccreary I’m a massive Godzilla fan through all the musical incarnations but I just don’t get the big love for Desplat’s score. I enjoyed it enough but it didn’t get me the same way the follow up did. Need to have another listen to it.

I am a Desplat fan but have to say I agree with Spook. I like Desplat's score but I prefered Mccreary's and felt his revamping of the old Godzilla themes was great fun and I got a big thrill hearing them when I went to see the film at the cinema .

Was pleasantly surprised by it at the time.

Haven't really used it since.

Time to give it another spin.

I haven't heard the second one. Wasn't a fan of the film at all. But i'll get to listening to the album soon. I'm sure it's pretty decent.

Is also really, really good, i'm a big fan of McCreary since listening the first seasons of Outlander, and KOTM are among of his best scores. Higly recommend as Desplat's, at least, for me.

PS: Listen Fantasy Island, very good.
