The author of the current issue of the Aisle Seat this week made a major error in his discussion of the release of seasons 18 and 19 of Gunsmoke. The author claimed season 19 of Gunsmoke was the end of the series and that Gunsmoke never reached season 20. The author is dead wrong; season 20, not yet released ran from September 1974 to March 1975. You would think that someone who documents the release of classic television shows on DVD would not have made such an error.

You are right...

Egregious existence-altering errors aside, I'm impressed that all 20 seasons of Gunsmoke have been released on DVD.

Although Marshal Dillon looks none too pleased about the news of Gunsmoke's "final" season.

What was that line from Dylan?

"Twenty years of 'Gunsmoke' and they put you on the day shift..."
