Just flagging up the fact that the score album to the late 1950s anthology mystery show, One Step Beyond is streaming on Spotify. It seems to have previously been available on vinyl from Varese, then Decca before that. You’ll hear a little vinyl crackle on some tracks.

Do listen to the first track, ‘Fear’. It’s like music from a seriously spooky episode of classic Star Trek. Some rich work here from Harry Lubin.

Also available on CD, here: https://www.amazon.com/One-Step-Beyond-Original-Soundtrack/dp/B004OEIPPA/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?keywords=one+step+beyond+lubin&qid=1581895105&sr=8-1

Your title is misleading, this album has been out on digital and cd for a very long time, and probably well known to anyone interested (search the forum for discussions). Got my hopes up for a new, more complete release instead of the disappointing, mostly non-horror album.

That must have been really heartbreaking for you. I wish people could be as organized as you before they post. It makes things so difficult for people like you.

If you like his post, say so. There's nothing incorrect with what I wrote, and I wasn't a sarcastic insulting a-hole like you about it.

I couldn't care less about his post, but it certainly wasn't worthy of your criticism for disappointing you.

Apologies. I did search the forums for the title of the album and composer first, but couldn’t find any reference to it, which surprised me. So I thought Id mention it for those who may not be aware. Have altered the title a little.

Maybe if you'd searched for Harry Lubin instead of Frank....

Ha ha! I think you might be right. Doh! Corrected. This’ll teach me the folly of posting this in the wee small hours.

As was yours, hypocrite. I pointed out an inaccuracy because I have an interest in the music, I wasn't criticizing pooter personally. You're insulting me personally because you're a jerk.

Thanks for updating your title, pooter. The Lubin library has changed hands, with initial production company Carlin having digitized a chunk which included "One Step Beyond" and "Outer Limits." Unfortunately no further digitizing has been done, and I believe one person in the biz said it was not cost-effective to release cds.

Kind of a cool look at his sheet music at UCLA:
