I'm sure that there will be a movie or TV series about this at some point (if not several), in the style of previous pandemic movies, but as we're living in it right now, with all the real-life consequences at our own door, it's a bit early to speculate about such things.

It's just amazing how prescient some folks are that they can somehow discern someone's motives for asking a simple question about whom will score a film that will eventually be made and they can know that that person is making fun of the current situation instead!
And, as so often is the case in the Twitterization that is becoming so common here, the name-calling thus ensues. I wonder - does name-calling fall under the category of personal attacks as per the rules?

But as you can see, it's a beautiful day, the beaches are opened, and people are having a wonderful time. Amity, as you know, means friendship.

If you're going to repeat your classic film quote in every thread, then I guess I'd better repeat mine:

"Every man has got a breaking point. You and I have. Kev McGann has reached his. And very obviously, he has gone insane."

Everyone responds to events like this differently. Some people respond with levity as a means of coping with anxiety over such circumstances.

If it's a "serious" movie (like "Outbreak", then MAYBE J.N.H..

If it's just a crapfest starring the modern action heroes, as far as I am concerned, you can have Junkie XL score it.

When McGann starts wearing one of those hideous anchor sportscoats, then you know we're in trouble.

"The horror. The horror", indeed.

That's McGanndalorian to you, Phelps!!!

That collective shiver every Liverpudlian feels right now is not the coronavirus, but the thought of Kev McGann as their cheery, full o' shite mayor.

People are also sick and dying from cancer. People also are dying from car accidents. People are also dying of old age. I don't think I need to go on.

I'd go with tracking the film with The Andromeda Strain, cold, mathematical, unrelenting, a counterpoint to the inevitable human hysteria.
