This first-ever soundtrack release for The Big Fix with music by composer Bill Conti!

Newly mixed and mastered in high resolution from the original multi-track scoring masters housed at Universal Studios. This presentation offers far more music than is heard in the film. Conti’s original cues not only offer a glimpse into the evolution of the Big Fix score, but into the versatility which is the hallmark of the composer’s craft. Conti brings out every weapon in his considerable musical arsenal for this soundtrack. Along with distinctive motifs, he energetically celebrates disco and out-and-out jazz, sometimes in one cue (“Moses to Lila’s”). “Hiding the Boys,” which opens as sheer suspense—discordant strings combined with sudden, jolting bursts of percussion—explodes into unalloyed action. Another masterful suspense piece is “Moses Driving Through Town”; here, buzzing guitar, eerie strings and creepy piano runs build to a potent detonation of brass. In short, The Big Fix is a dazzling display of this essential composer’s wide-ranging talents.

Directed by Jeremy Kagan, the movie from 1978 stars Richard Dreyfuss, Susan Anspach and Bonnie Bedelia, and centers on an ex-’60s radical now working as a private eye, who is hired by an old flame to investigate a political smear campaign. The case becomes more dangerous as it unfolds.

Yes, one of my favorites! The first Varese Conti title in years, thanks Varese!

How weird...I ordered the Twilight Time Blu-Ray (w/isolated score track) just the other day.

Now this is a holy grail finally become real. Can't wait to play this. One of Conti's better scores.

I've been waiting for this since I saw the film at THE OLYMPIC THEATER in my hometown back in 1978.

It's a really good movie that if you haven't seen, by all means seek it out.

Conti's score is really good and I can't wait to get it

It was Barbadian TV when I was kid; I suspect it was cut. But I remember liking it.

I have to check the samples of this.

I realized this week that I have close no Conti in my collection. Can anybody recommend scores that are written in the same idiom as "For Your Eyes Only" and "Take Me Home" or are this singular items in the Conti discography?

The Big Fix is an incredible film. One of Dreyfuss' better, and IMHO underrated performances. Asnpach and Bedelia are terrific too, with welcome appearances from John Lithgow and Fritz Weaver. Los Angeles plays a pivitol role as well, and it's always a treat to see the city in all it's thriving 70s glory.

You don't hear much of the score in the film itself, so I'm extremely excited for this release! What a pleasant surprise, certainly on par with US Marshalls which we are ALL grateful for!

The one Bill Conti score that I want the most would require a new recording by Bill Conti himself at the helm... BABY BOOM. Any label that could pull that off would have a sellout in 24 hours.

I, THE JURY is a great score too, similar to FYEO!

I'm sure henry can list a load of Bill Conti scores that feature that light pop/jazz style music you've highlighted with the piece from For Your Eyes Only.
Two that spring to mind for me are Five Days From Home and An Unmarried Woman.
Uncle Joe Shannon too (maybe).

Zippy, Take Me Home is a track from the For Your Eyes Only score, so you ain't missing out on anything, unless you don't have his Bond score.

Minor gripe, but it would be nice to sample the tracks they're advertising. Especially for those of us not familiar with the score. Cool release though.
