Given that many films in production have been shut down and many other films due for release this year have not, due to the virus, will there even be an Oscars ceremony in 2021? Let's imagine there is but there are no other films that go on release this year? ...... What, out of the films that have already gone on release (so not 'No time to die' etc) would win the best score?
BTW.... I am already betting on a Will Smith/ Martin Lawrence double up for vest actor abs best actor for 'Bad Boys for Life'
Impossible to speculate, but I have high hopes for Zimmer's TOP GUN: MAVERICK (with Faltermeyer) and DUNE. I also hope these will be released in theatres, and that the pandemic is over by that time. I want to see those on the big screen, not my TV.
As for films/scores that are already out -- which is what you really asked for -- I have no partiular favourite yet. None that I've heard, anyway. I still have some to explore. The only 2020 score I have in my collection is Elfman's DOLITTLE, and that's a massive disappointment.
