Thanks to Steven C Smith for posting it via facebook.
Hi Amer, thanks for highlighting this. I've signed up for the 30 day free trial and find I'm struggling to choose what to sample I already own a few of the concerts but the one you reference is completely unknown to me.
The Carl Nielsen works will be good, too (I have CD recordings) but the Herrmann work should be a fun starter - less so the Schoenberg!.
When I mentioned this free trial yesterday ... I got zero response Mitch
Well, watching and listening via my PC (not perfect for sound, of course) and yes, very enjoyable. The Herrmann suite is good to hear ... at least for the first half after which it does become a little ... so what and I'm not convinced it's good enough to be concert-hall material.
The Schoenberg piece was ... well .. weird (but then that's to be expected given his works I own) but strangely enjoyable. Both of the Nielsen works are well worth the admission price. A well-programmed concert: each piece is more satisfying than the piece it follows. Mitch
