You may or may not be aware that there's a widespread belief that the song "The Final Countdown" by Europe is featured in "Rocky IV." Somehow, people have associated the song with the film for decades because it bears a minor resemblance to Vince DiCola's "Training Montage" cue (the resemblance is debatable, though). So, for the fun of it, I wrote this column today to help educate the misguided masses. I thought there might be some interest here. I was always checking for the Final Countdown soundtrack at the local CD store.
