It was not done with any malice whatsoever, just didn't realize someone would alter a Wikipedia page for no reason.

You only joined the forum yesterday. What a way to start...

Glad MJL is still with us smile

I know. The reason I joined yesterday was because of the wrong info I read on wikipedia. My first post failed and I tried again today. A lesson learned!

Well the way I see it you have done a good job. Your action has led to a grave error getting rectified. Wikipedia may not *always* be correct but it is widely used, and without you raising this issue here some people would have gone on thinking Lewis had died. You never know it could even get him a job or two.... I can just see a director wanting him to compose a score for his new movie, looking him up on Wikipedia, seeing that he was dead and decided to go for Desplat or Richter instead smile

Or in a homage to Theatre Of Blood he could of remained 'dead' to the public, hooked up with some vagrants and got his revenge on directors who rejected his work, just like Edward Lionheart.

While we debate the current existence of Mr. Lewis, I am currently watching Unman, Wittering, and Zigo which so far contains some lovely music by him. This film is a humorous drama about a young teacher at a boys school, right?

The score is very lyrical and melodious but with an ominous undercurrent, which Lewis is particularly adept at. It's paired with The Naked Face on CD which is another melodically enjoyable score by Lewis that contains some 80's electronic drumming that can bring a smile to your face.

The movie Unman, Wittering and Zigo, I haven't seen in about 40 years ( not for want of trying as certain images have stayed in my head) as it is never shown on tv and to my knowledge hasn't been released on dvd. I thought the movie was more a thriller though, but again I saw it a long time ago and I am not trusting wikipedia again!

Oh yeah, UNMAN WITTERING AND ZIGO! Haven't seen it since it was on the telly in the summer of 1977 (that's nearly 100 years ago), but it struck me then as being great. A really tense, dark thriller which threatens to get very nasty - almost in a kind of STRAW DOGS way. The score by Michael J Lewis is probably my favourite from the line of promos he did. Unfortunately (for me) it's paired with THE NAKED FACE, which unfortunately (for me) contains some of the most horrendous '80s synth n' Simmons drums cues in the history of Jerry Goldsmith music. In fact, I think there's one cue that's ONLY Simmons drums. Not sure - I could only listen to it once. But UNMAN, WITTERING AND ZIGO is a masterpiece.

You're memory serves you correctly, there is a track that is only electronic drumming which could have some people recoil in horror.
