Been listening to it lately. Very nice score. I enjoy a lot of William Ross' work and MACS is one of my faves by him. Some echos of Goldsmith's RUDY in a few cues. I also enjoy Ross' score to THE GAME OF THEIR LIVES which was originally planned to contain a Goldsmith score, as it's producers surely wanted Goldsmith back, which would make a nice trilogy of "sports" films for them. They of course produced RUDY and HOOSIERS and sadly Jerry passed away before being able to score the picture.

Here's a nice opening cue from MIGHTY MACS by Maestro Ross. Enjoy! I recommend the CD highly!

I find Ross's sports scores a bit bland, to be honest. Try Joe Paesano MY ALL AMERICAN and Christophe Beck's WE ARE MARSHALL.
