It's wonderful to see this release of Take Her She's Mine! Many thanks Intrada! I wonder if PFK is buying any of these titles coming from Intrada next week, Niall. I haven't heard Cody but I know he is saving hard to buy the upcoming Max Steiner book. I will also be getting that and I hope you will too Cody? Don't let the Golden Age down, let those moths out of your pocketbook and buy it![/ Niall ,my friend, you've got the wrong guy if you think I've got moths in my pocketbook. Are you buying a much more melodic and dramatic score , LEGENDS OF THE FALL , than " You Can Have Her, She's Yours" ? My two favorite Horner scores are TITANIC and LEGENDS OF THE FALL. Even PFK has acknowledged in the past that comedy scores do not sell that well. Of course, if it's because you love everything that Jerry Goldsmith does, I understand. I forgot to ask. Do you have the recent book on the life and films of Raoul Walsh. It's a great book ? Same goes for a book on Dana Andrews. No pictures to color, however.?? " Yes, of course I have had the Raoul Walsh book for a number of years now, excellent read! I also have the book on Wild Bill Wellman, and one on Jacques Tourneur, have you got those? Niall is lucky guy to be wealthier than both of us. Didn't you tell me comedies don't sell as well as other scores,PFK ? Listen to LEGENDS OF THE FALL on YouTube and tell me what you think. I want to see if your choices are made by yourself or the opinions of others. By the way, the Bill Wellman book is one I should add to my collection. As far as Dana Andrews is concerned, he was a great underrated actor that had personal addiction problems that he licked. Wonderful movies like : LAURA THE PURPLE HEART A WALK IN THE SUN CANYON PASSAGE THE BEST YEARS OF OUR LIVES BOOMERANG THE IRON CURTAIN WHERE THE SIDEWALK ENDS CURSE OF THE DEMON The book makes excellent reading. Hey guys.

Hey guys. I think a few years back some labels said comedy scores are more difficult to sell. I like most comedy scores pretty well but no slapstick scores. I would think TAKE HER SHE'S MINE would sell well being Goldsmith. Yea, I think Niall found a pot of gold!

Fascinating about the restoration of Take Her, She's Mine: "There's only a handful of Goldsmith scores that have yet to be released in any form, and the music elements for this title were long thought damaged beyond use. But with advances in technology and the meticulous work of restoration expert Chris Malone, Intrada is able to present nearly all of Goldsmith's score in stereo. Malone had to restore the audio of each channel separately to get the wondrous results heard here. Rather than compromise the naturally wide instrumental spread, which was never intended for a stereo mix, Intrada also offers a mono presentation of the program as heard in the film." http://www.intrada.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8430 Too bad the complete score didn't survive but this is a heck of a lot more of it ("nearly all") than we ever expected to get!
