This has probably been covered before, but I'm too frustrated with message board searching to go looking right now. Which "Superman The Movie (DVD or Blu-Ray) has the isolated score track? I used to have it, but it must have flown back to Krypton or something. Thanks in advance!
I believe all DVD/Blu ray editions with the special edition have both the isolated tracks as well as the bonus cues. The extended cut set has that set as does the blu ray box set. Same on the 4K editon set.
This is all true, except that the isolated score is not on the 4K release, as it only contains the theatrical cut.
Yes, but only the accompanying Bluray disc which has the extras carry the Bonus cues/alternates on the 4k set. but No isolated score since thats only on the special edition directors cut.
It's a pity that the isolated score track is conformed to the film edits though, whereas the bonus tracks are on there in their entirety.
It's a further pity that Warner didn't include the isolated score on the extended TV cut Blu-ray release as that version of the film allows many of Williams' cues to play unedited (such as the complete Destruction of Krypton).
I'm one of those guys who has nearly every CD release of SUPERMAN, plus the movie on DVD and Bluray. The La La Land 3-CD set, taken right off the first generation session tapes, is what I listen to. If you have that, or the Blue Box, or even the 2-disc Rhino set, it seems like the iso-track is more of a curio than your go-to listening source.

Supposedly the accompanying bonus blu ray disc has it. NOT the 4k disc. I checked the reviews. Its listed there. I havent purchased it either so I dont know for sure. But it should be there.
Sorry; it's not. I have it. The extras on the Blu-ray that accompanies the 4k are the vintage making-of special, the "Mole Men" movie, the Salkind commentary, trailers, and about half of the Fleischer cartoons.
To bring it back to davemargosian's original question: All DVD and Blu-ray releases of the 151-minute Expanded Edition of Superman have the isolated score track.
Lets hope their will be an upgraded 4K release of the Directors extended cut in a new 4K remaster next year as the film 45th Anniversary looms ahead in 2023. They could ad the isolated track from the supported film verison. A new 3 hour ABC cut should be issued on 4k too- I hope this happens!
